This paPer analyzes the study and developmeni of the distfibutedpower line protection & monitoring device on abroad and home. Basedon the demand of power depwtment, a full distfibated multifunctionalprotection & monitoring device faced the distributed line is studied. Thisinstrument not only can perform functions of SCADA system, but alsointegrate the functions of the distance protection and three sects linecurrent protection. Furthermore, performance of FFT arithmetic andDSP+DSP, double CPUs, hardware structure have imProvedcomPutational speed and measure precision of the monitoring system. Inthe protection system, the iniegrated DFT arithmetic enhances theaccuracy and reliability of protection execution. By communicationseveral devices can run online to be cofltfolled dispersedly and managedcentrally.
