Spectrum analyzer has a very wide range of applications in teaching research and production practice. Traditional spectrum analyzer is difficult to update and very expensive. Spectrum analyzer has very rapid development with the emergence of the Fast Fourier Transform algorithm and the digital signal processors.In this paper, digital signal processing is in-depth studied, and the FFT spectrum analyzer based on DSP and MCU is developed, which is low cost and very practical. It can acquiste signal and process the data in frequency fields, then show the spectrum of signal in Liquid Crystal Display.The main work of this design are follows: first of all, the hardware components are designed and implemented, such as the smallest DSP system, A/D conversion module, signal conditioning module, power module, LCD display module; then the system software is established, including the realization of radix-2 FFT algorithm with DSP, the system initialization, A/D conversion, serial communication, touch-screen display control, etc; finally, the paper brings up the experimental verification which shows that the effect of the system in the spectrum analysis can achieve the desired objectives basically in experimental teaching.
