This thesis aims at the boiler of E420-13.73-560KT type made in Russia in XIGU Power Plant. It was designed that by introducing proper amount of recycled flue gas into furnace to prevent slag. Through series of research and test such as eniulational test of recycled flue gas to prevent slag, modular test of burners of single corner and the test of applying recycled flue gas to prevent slag at the site it indicates that the application of recycled flue gas can not only depress the temperature level at the exit of the furnace and prevent slag in the furnace but also increase capacity the contribution of the boiler and help it running at the rated load for long term. The appropriate amount of recycled flue gas will not arise exceeding temperature limit in the super heater, on the contrary it abates air pollution by lessening the amount of NOx in the emission. At the mean time it improves the efficiency of the unit by reducing thermal consumption, total coal consumption and coal consumption for power supply. It paves a new path to prevent slag by utilizing recycled flue gas Because the system of recycled flue gas is simple to construct, convenient to operate and low operation cost it has great prospective future in engineering applications.
