RPM(Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing) is a new fashion manufacturing technology which changes ideas of traditionally manufacturing. It has been changed from traditionally "cutting" manufacturing method to "piling" which is suitable for ever increasing competition. It can shorten product-developing cycle as well as decreasing cost. RPM affects development of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. As the study of RPM is very late in our country, it falls behind foreign country. Therefore the study of RPM and its relevant technology is very significant.The study of this thesis is concentrated on the following facts such as technology of three-dimension model reconstruction technology, precision of RPM, determining technological condition of CPS (Compact Prototyping System) machine etc... The following work has been completed:1 Combination of Rapid measuring technology, three-dimension model reconstruction technology and RPM technology forms a integrated system which can complete the work of date collection, three-dimension model reconstruction and prototyping manufacturing.2 Three-dimension model reconstruction is studied to determine technology route of reconstruction: information of model is abstracted to form a TXT document, two-dimension plane picture is appeared in CAD system with the aid of "three-dimension solid model reconstruction software", then three-dimension model can be formed by way of loft.3 VC++6.0 and VB6.0 language are used to compile "three-dimension solid model reconstruction software" for the purpose of reconstruction.4 Various factors which influence precision of part have been analyzed in thisthesis. Such as data-change error, equipment error, solid -forming error and ladder-shaped error resulting from RP Technology.5 Some suggestions have been proposed to improve precision of part.6 The optimum technological condition has been determined.
