However, in the progress of its developing, there are so many problems that have passively affected on the improvement of building and managing it. So it is very necessary for us to research and analyze something that deeply influence on the normal development of theme parks. In view of it the article first give a precise definition of the key work "theme parks" which demarcate the range of related research, and then construct a Theme Parks Development Process Capability Maturity Model (TP-DPCMM) on the base of definition. TP-DPCMM is composed of five maturity levels, each level includes some Key Process Area (KPA). The article pays more attention to the KPA that belongs to the Architecture category, such as theme parks' distribution, theme parks' architecture and landscape design. Based on these researches, the theory accounted in the article will have some help on the future building and management of theme parks. At the end of the article a Check List that views on the architecture KPA is given. The whole article consists of eight parts: exordium, five chapters of text, conclusion and appendix. The exordium introduces the circumstance that is connected with the theme parks researches both outside and inside, and introduce the main content of this article. The five chapters of text firstly introduce the history of theme parks and its developing in the world, then give "theme parks" a precise definition which is the very base that the most important TP-DPCMM is built on in this article. TP-DPCMM describes what is the key practices that have significant meaning on the development process of theme parks and how it apply to improve the theme parks' quality both in development and management process. The article also expatiates the architecture key process on building theme parks in three chapters. In the appendix, there is a TP-DPCMM Architecture Key Process Area Check List that gives a systemic explication on theme parks' architecture.
