ACEG (AC-Excited Generator) have many excellent characteristics, it may improving the stability of electric power system, its rotor rotate speed may variable, it can't lose step even when operated in deep lead phase, it especially applied in pumped-storage hydraulic power plant. It is an important research field in electric power system. ACEG has been operated successful in some countries, but it hasn't been industrial operated in our country until now.Excitation control system plays an important role in utilize ACEG. So, the main purpose of this thesis is research a high reliable modular digital micro-computer excitation equipment system fit to industrial conditions.In this paper, the mathematical models of ACEG in static three-phase coordinates and in rotary two-phase coordinates are studied.the stator voltage oriented vector control strategy is also studied. The process of active power and re-active power regulating is analyzed.Through the study of the core circuit of ACEG excitation equipment i.e. AC-AC frequency converter, an improved cosine cross arithmetic that conveniently progress by computer is proposed.In this paper, the simulation program is written to simulate the dynamic performance of ACEG and AC-AC frequency converter. It conceives the foundation of the excitation system .
