These years with fast develpment of highly classified road, because of more and more heavy traffic and superimposed load of the bigger truck, there're a lot of bleeding, ruts, deformation and so on on the pavement.Before according to the traditional mix design method of asphalt concrete, the pavement hasn't suit to the modern traffic development. Engineers' gyratory testing machine(GTM) of U.S Corps was invented to solve questions which happened on flexible pavement , once used by the biggest and the most heavy bomber. Different from Marshall method, GTM can imitate the actual situation of the interaction between wheel and ground, and in response to stress, it can make its density to attain the actual function of wheeling on the road, and we can design the suensity and ratio of mixture.Aplication of GTM was first begined on Shitai expressway, Xuanitable dda expressway and Jinghu expressway. GTM mix has higher resistant on rutting, lower temperature crack and water susceptibility. And asphalt can be ecnomized 10%-15%.It can produce good ecnormic benefit to us.
