The magnetic measurement system of multiple parameters was investigated based on the fundamental electromagnetic principles, and combined with the measurement system of Brighton university. The system can measure static and dynamic properties for magnetostrictive materials with the shape of rod or bulk. The measurement process is controlled by a computer. The measurement result is consistent with the result reported abroad. The system has several properties such as good precision, easy controlling, automatic saving and displaying.The magnetic measurement system of multiple parameters divided into two parts , the hardware and the software. The hardware composes of several instruments such as a personal computer, controlling unit, electro-magnet and signal acquisition unit, DC power. The measurement program HDCCC is based on the operating system -Windows. The tool software is Visual C^ 6.0. HDCCC controls the other parts of measurement system, acquires useful signals, displays measurement curves and saves data. The measurement functions of rod samples include :1. magnetic field dependence of flux densities B2. magnetic field dependence of strain A.3. magnetic field dependence of dynamic strain coefficient d^4. magnetic field dependence of increment dynamic susceptibility u 335. frequency dependence of impedance Z6. magnetic field dependence of magnetomechnical coupling For the bulk sample(<5mm), the measurement functions include:1. temperature T dependence of AC susceptivity x2. temperature T dependence of strain A.3. temperature T dependence of resistance R4. magnetic field H dependence of strain A.' 5. magnetic field H dependence of resistance RIn addition, a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) was also automated. This VSM can measure by itself when the circumvent parameters have been input to a controlling computer. During the process of measurement, the controlling computer can acquire signal, process the signal, display and save it.
