Connotation Of Public Space On College Campus

This article compared the history and the change of idea of China with foreigns , through reviewing the evolution of modern educational thought of college. With discussing the conversion of public sphere into public space, the essay researched the origin of public space of campus. Applying the theories of Sociology, environmental and behavioral science, Psychology and architecture, the author analyzed the communication, context and meaning of public space meanwhile, defined the intention of public space anew, and stressed that "contact in college", "public" and "serving the person" were the essence of public space on campus. The author analyzed totally the constitution and poly-structure of public space in order to determine its constitutional frame afresh. Meantime, the writer brought the dynamic design method into the design thought of public space. The purpose of inquiring into design method and design principle is trying to find systematic design method of public space. What s more, the author demonstrated and applied further the design idea of public space on campus with some instance.
