This article first introduces physical geography general situation, clarifies the rank of this hydroproject, the grade and layout of its hydraulic structures, and expounds the necessity and feasibility of this project. Then, This paper further gave a clear explanation of the developing summarize of Construction diversion for embankment dams. This study made a theoretical preparation for its construction diversion.This article expounds the construction diversion scheme and Countermeasure of Sihugou key Hydroproject in a cold region. It elucidates the grade and layout of the construction diversion structures, testifies the technical rationality and economic advisability that the alternative of the cofferdam uses to dam up the discharge (P=10%, Q=275.2m3/s) during the post-flood period, was made by hydraulic calculation, structural design, investment comparison, progress analysis and investment risk analysis. It provided a theoretical foundation to construction policy decision. In the cold region of Northeast China, this is a valuable reference to the other construction diversions under large discharge.
