This thesis was completed in a three-dimensional cold testing circulating fluidized bed (CFB) with the size (length×width×height) of 600×400×6000. This thesis designed and constructed a series of solid circulating loop devices, including cyclone separator, loop seal, external heat exchanger (EHE) and correspondent joining pipes. A data acquiring system was completed to realize the data real-time display and record the pressure of the whole system and air flow. A data program was compiled to process the display the recorded data. Based on the experiment system, the operating phenomena were carefully observed and recorded, the overall pressure distribution and correspondent circulating rate were recorded. This experiment carefully observed and recorded the phenomena and the operating parameter under normal and abnormal conditions. The experiment acquired pressure distribution and circulating rate under three fluidizing velocity (3.5m/s,4.5m/s,5.5m/s) and different media load. An experimental equation was acquired between circulating rate and the distribution of the pressure. And the relation between the circulating rate and the opening rate of the valve connecting the returner and the EHE was carefully discussed as well as the relation between the pressure of the EHE and the flow rate of the fluidizing air. During the construction of the test rig, it was continuously improved based on the experiment at phenomena, including the position, size and the internal arrangement. Through the observation and analysis of the loop seal and the EHE, a requisition was given for the effective operation.
