The Sculpting Language Of Steel Structure Buildings And The Direction Of Its Development

With development of building material and technology,steel structure become the typical style of modern architecture. In developed countries,steel structure buildings are at the top of the architecture tidal current. They represent the most advanced technologies and materials and even latest ideas. In our country,there are lots of optimism policies encouraging the development of steel structure buildings. It is the very time we improve our design level of steel structure.Based on the recent situation of steel structure in our country,this paper elaborates on the subject of the basic fabric forms of steel structures and finds the problems that exist in the development of steel structure in our country.The main works and conclusions in this paper are as follows:In the first part of this paper,there is a brief review of the development of steel structure in the recent fifty years in our county.In the second part of this paper,there is an introduction of the basic fabric forms of steel structure and an analysis of some existing steel buildings. This part aims at the wide-span public buildings,and give some references to designers.In the third part of this paper,steel structure in "high-tech" architecture plays an important role. In modern architecture,designers apply modern technology into modern steel structure building so as to present the beauty of the structure of modern buildings and also convey the concept of eco-buildings.In the fourth part,it introduces the B.U.B (build up building) system and the principles of establishing regulations for steel structure buildings in our country. It also compares the structure systems of various residential buildings and looks forward the tendency of industrialization of steel structure residence.In the fifth part,it elaborates the technological problems in steel structure,including some effective measures for fire-proofing,erosion-proofing ect.As a major type of buildings to be developed in 21 century,steel structure has a greater and broader prospect for application.
