Research On Ecologic Tendency Of Architecture Creation

This thesis regards ecologic tendency of architecture creation as research object and makes a special effort to discuss the architecture creation influenced by contemporary ecologic theory. The aim of the thesis is to shrengthen the ecologic consciousness of architects and to realize the harmony between building and natural environment. Through the analysis of basic theory, technique measures and examples, the thesis puts forward the main ecologic tendency of contemporary architecture creation from three aspects: harmonize building with nature, make use of natural resources efficiently, energy saving in buildings, and then look forward to the future and path of ecologic tendency of architecture.This thesis is composed of six chapters:Chapter 1: general introduction. Beginning with the analysis of environmental crisis, this chapter points out the important meaning of research on ecologic tendency of architecture creation. Then introduce the basic concept of ecology, and lead it to the field of architecture, furthermore introduce the general conditions of theory and practice of ecologic architecture creation. Last illustrate the aim and contents of the research briefly.Chapter 2: innovations of architecture creation under ecologic tendency. This chapter points out that the ecologic tendency of architecture creation is the certain result of the development of architecture. This will cause corresponding innovations of architecture creation. Then the author points out main tendencies of innovations theoretically: harmonizing building with nature, making use of natural resourses efficiently, energy saving in buildings. These points will be discussed in next chapters.Chapter 3: building in harmony with natural environment. This chapter provides viewpoints on how to make building adapt to natural environment actively from four aspects: building types restrained by topography, climate responsive building types, using water to improve building environment, using greening of building to raise the quality of environment and architectural bionic. In order to make building be in harmony with natural environment,, the author propses to make full use of advantages in environment, to make use of advantage and avoid disaster, to reduce the effect of building on environment.Chapter 4 : resources consumption in ecologic tendency of architecturecreation. This chapter points out that making use of natural resources efficiently is the important research project of ecologic tendency of architecture creation. There are mainly four means to realize it: land saving in buildings, water saving in buildings, ecologic and environment protecting building materials, the renewal and transformation of old buildings.Chapter 5 : energy saving measures in ecologic tendency of architecture creation. Energy saving is the important tendency of ecologic architecture creation. To realize "increasing income and decreasing expenditure"in energy, this chapter discusses several new energy saving measures except mormal ones: using solar energy in buildings, natural lighting and natural ventilation.Chapter 6: the prospect for ecologic tendency of architecture creation in the new century. First, the chapter analyses some practice of ecologic architecture creation and their enlightenments. Then, it points out that concept renewal is the precondition of ecologic tendency of architecture creation. Last, integrating the analysis of the whole thesis, the author looks forward to the future and path of ecologic tendency of architecture creation.
