In this paper, Pulse power supply for high-density Electron Beam Accelerator is designed and constructed. It is composed of four parts: DC (Direct Current) power supply, resonance charging and polarity reverse unit, electric relay control unit and computer control unit. The main parameter are: the mean power of 45kW, the highest output voltage of 400V, the maximum output current of 50kA, the maximum repetitive rate of 100 Hz, the preliminary charging time of 35S. The DC power supply consists of passive filter circuit. The capacity of passive filter is up to 264mF. RLC resonance charging method is utilized in charging pulse capacitor. The capacity of pulse capacitor is up to 14mF. Four 30 μF air corn inductances are connected in parallels in resonance circuit. Relay-contactor control unit is employed in pulse power supply to fulfill the function of charging, discharging and fast charging which has the features of the strong ability against the violent electromagnetic interference and the high stability. Computer control unit produces the trigger pulses for the fast switching thyristors. Fast switching thyristors are connected in parallels in order to meet the capacitance requirement of the circuit. Trigger pulses produced by computer are amplified and isolated by three pulse transformers. High amplitude trigger pulse meets the power requirements of many thyristors connected in parallels. The voltage peak emerged in switching off inductance circuit is amortized by resistor and capacitor absorbed circuit. In the case of repetition mode of the pulse power supply, Fast charging circuit is designed to enhance the stabilize and charging efficiency of the DC power supply. Repetitive pulse power supply can work stabilize under the repetitive of 100Hz,which totally meets the requirements of the accelerator. The pulse power supply is novelty in main circuit, superiority in anti- jamming and counterattack voltage. The repetition pulse power supply not only has been used in accelerator, but also can be applied in other pulse power technology. Such as environment protect fields.
