This paper uses general sensing system made of temperature sensors, pressure sensors and liquid level sensors with no directly power supply to realize optically powered measurement of oil tanks liquid level, thus solve the problem that general electricity method applied to the flammability and explosive environments. At the same time, the simple pole structure is adopted to make the measurement simple and handy.Analyzing the characteristic of optical fiber transmitting system and its parts. In the optical fiber transmitting system, attenuation of fiber affects transmitting efficiency directly, the lower attenuation is very important because it affects the sensitivity frequently. The choice of join form and fixation method is also important for it will make large wastage. So we must pay attention to the join and fixation form when designing sensors.Discussing the principle and part circuit of instrument to clarify the feasibility of the system. The system is made of three parts, probe, fiber transmitting and computer. For using electricity measurement of optical fiber transmitting and physics parameter signal and power micro-power consumption design of probe, the system is applicable especially to the flammability and explosive environments, is has the characteristic of safe and dependent comparing to the general measurement system. Comparing to the measurement method of total function fiber, is has the high testing precision and stability. Meantime, the handy structure makes the measurement convince and simple, and it also cuts the measurement time, lower the labor intensity without affecting the measurement precision, has practice application meaning.Giving the singlechip hardware circuit and software design project of the system. Analyzing the system error, and bring forward a few improving scheme.
