Being the terminal end of generation and transmission, facing users directly, the power supplying quality and reliability of distribution system are of main significance to both users and grid. But now the automatic level of distribution system in our country is low, the construction of it should be strengthened. The object of automatization of distribution system is to improve the power supplying quality, enhance the ability of running in security and improve the level of management to serve users better.The structure of distribution grid is complicated and flexible. How to model it, is always a difficult and critical problem in the distribution system automation. This paper studies mainly on this problem. Object-oriented technique to model distribution grid and the hiberarchy denotation of distribution grid based on feeder section are used. The static distribution topology and the dynamic one basing on the above model are studied. Found on this, the location of fault, isolation of fault and fault restoration are investigated. C++ Builder 6.0 are used to develop the software of topology drawing, creation and analysis.
