| Thermal expansion difference of steam turbine is a major factor which affects the flexibility of steam turbine unit in start-up and shut-down. In order to monitor on-line expansion difference during operation for Lai Cheng power plant in ShanDong Province, this paper not only describes the realization of data acquisition,but also gives curve of rotor thermal stress according to stress caculation. Furthermore improve traditional warming process. It can be observed that by means of the on-line system the start-up duration has been decreased for No. 1 unit of Lai Cheng power plant start up.
