Study On Ecological Space Network Structure Of Urban Residential Community

With the ever serious ecological crisis that urban and community are facing in 21 st century, the ecology becomes developing direction in urban planning discipline of sustainable development. A modern residential community has gone through the transformation from single inhabit mode to ecological community. Facing all sorts of space planning issues of traditional residential community, the study explains China's developing history and current situation to residential space. A concept with network structure is proposed to study ecological space of residential community.The basic trans-disciplinary theory platform is set up in the paper. Key words residential community, ecological space and network are defined and explained. The essence and behavior of community problem have been analyzed from the ecological point of view. On this basis, the author analyses the ecological space network structure of residential community, establishes its structure and explains its task and its ecological meaning., establishes its study frame The introduction of the concept network is aimed at wholly studying with the community space and its development, considering the network symbiotic relationship among people, nature and buildings.The study generalizes in this thesis the ecological space network structure of residential community into four parts: space network of resident activity, nature, building and symbiosis. Its constitution and network relation are explained in details in the four chapters of the thesis. Its design method is studied and discussed as well with the help of a design example. Finally the topic, study on advantages of ecological space network structure of residential community compared with traditional space planning, is summarized and the conclusion is drawn.
