Morphology Analysis Of The Traditional Settlement And Dwelling In Ding Village

Based on practical investigations and collecting informations, the thesis broadly discusses the formation, evolution and achievements of Ding Village. It expounds the layout of the village, the landscape of the village, the traditional houses and so on. It also attempts to reveal the essence on a deeper level from many aspects. Furthermore, as the representative in the north part of China, the traditional dwelling of Ding Village has the unique character on the spatial organization, the detailed decoration and the technical treatment. Through a further study of those dwellings, we can certainly have a better understanding of the historic and current values of the traditional heritages. In the end, the thesis discusses the inheritance and development of traditional culture and provides some helpful methods that will enlighten to our present architecture design.
