Yaoshui River is located in Huangyuan county in the east of Qinghai province.It is a first-grade tributary of Huangshui River,a tributary of the Yellow River.The region is the demarcation point between the qinghai-tibet plateau and the loess plateau,between the agricultural and pastoral areas,between the central plains and the outlying minority areas,and between Tibetan culture and han culture.Under the influence of special natural environment,historical background,religious culture and other factors,many traditional settlements and residential buildings with local traditional color and regional culture have been produced and retained in the Yaoshui River basin.Beautiful rural development policy implementation in Qinghai province in recent years,making potions river basin in rural construction has developed rapidly,but the vast majority of villages in the process of renewal development,lack of theoretical guidance and in-depth research,and ignore the regional cultural heritage,traditional villages and buildings are destroyed,new buildings lack of local characteristics at the same time,great changes have taken place in the traditional style.Therefore,it is of vital importance to study the traditional settlements and dwellings in the Yaoshui river basin,so as to achieve organic renewal,good protection and inherit the regional features of the traditional settlements in the Yaoshui river basin in the context of the environment.This paper takes the traditional settlements and dwellings in the Yaoshui river basin of Qinghai province as the main body of research and the national traditional village of Tuergan village in the basin as the research object.Based on the field research of traditional settlements in the Yaoshui river basin,this paper makes an in-depth analysis and research on traditional settlements by using settlement geography theory,human settlements environment theory,sustainable development theory and other relevant theories.Based on the factors influencing the formation of traditional settlements and dwellings in the Yaoshui river basin,this paper studied the distribution and classification characteristics of traditional settlements and the formation and evolution of traditional Yaoshui river basin at a macro level.Then,through comparative analysis of field research,a typical case--Tuergan village was selected for in-depth study.At the middle level,the site selection,evolution,spatialcomposition and spatial distribution of the Tuergan settlement were studied.On the micro level,the paper discusses the courtyard space,architectural form,building materials and construction technology of the traditional Zhuangkuo folk houses in Tuergan village,and hopes to make a detailed analysis of the regional characteristics and development evolution of the traditional settlements and folk houses in the Yaoshui river basin.On this basis,the paper summarizes the construction strategy and value embodiment of Tuergan settlement,and proposes specific protection and renewal strategies and measures for the current problems of Tuergan village.The significance of this study is firstly reflected in the theory.The study on the traditional settlements and dwellings in the Yaoshui river basin can be a beneficial supplement to the traditional settlements in Hehuang area.Secondly,it is reflected in practice.On the basis of summarizing the characteristics of traditional settlements and dwellings in typical cases of the Yaoshui river basin,this paper puts forward the strategies and measures for the protection and renewal of traditional settlements and dwellings,so as to provide scientific guidance and strategies for the protection and renewal of traditional settlements and dwellings in the Yaoshui river basin.
