In modern day society, in the field of ship-design, the mathematical hull-design is a new method, which has a lot of profit. Many a researcher is working hard at it because he or she knows that this method is more professional and efficient. The method of mathematical hull-design is one of the most important parts of the expert ship-design system. It is defined the mathematical hull-design to use mathematical function in designing hull lines. We must figure .out some practicable equations to calculate the hull lines that should be smoothness and fit the real ship lines. These data, which are already exanimated, can be the original data of fluid dynamic calculation and the original data of ship-manufacture. Without doubt, the method of mathematical hull- design is a very useful and important tool in ship line design and manufacture. In this thesis, the practical effect and the development of hull line design are analyzed. During the past decades, some researchers, such as: Bezier, KJ.Versprile, deBoor and cox, etc. had made great progress in the filed of constrained B-Spline curve and surface fitting. In this article the method of constrained B-Spline curve was introduced, which is used to figure out the Control Vertexes. Using this interpolation method we can calculate every points of a Uniform B-Spline. A several instances of my program sequence are given in this thesis. The hull lines of a Changing river ship are calculated. Its hull lines should be smoothness and fit the real ship lines. Also, to this ship a design system of hull line design is given. Of course, the platforms are Visual C++6.0 and AutoCAD2002. The language of program is Auto LISP program language.
