In the building and repairing ship industry, many enterprises are researching how to remove the rust on the surface of hull at all times. But their researching focuses are the removal rust techniques and the intensity between coating and substance. So far, there is not enterprise or university, which has developed the automatically removing rust equipment according to datum.The overall developing process of the carrier of automatically removing rust equipment is expounded in this article. The main aspects are as follows.1. Through summing up and analyzing the current research on and application of the special robots in the world-especially climbing-wall robots and investigating their manufacturing conditions and demands in several enterprises engaging in building and repairing ship, it expounds the real significance of developing the automatically removing rust equipment for ship.2. According to characteristic in building and repairing ship industry, it is put forward that the automatically removing rust equipments for ship should meet and in detail sets forth to the blue print of developing the carrier of automatically removing rust equipments including construction and control system designing schemes.3. The paper explicates magnetism of magnet, the principle and method during designing the magnetic field and the buildup of equipment's driver system at length on the base of its structure analysis. It mainly analyses the magnetism needed in theory and designs driving system of the equipment under two situations, which is the emphasis in this paper.4. On the base of the principle and method of single chips application in controlling stepping motor and in use of assembly language as a development tool, the control system of the carrier of the equipment is designed in the paper, including its hardware and software.In a word, the paper places emphasis on the theory of its driving andcontrol systems ot the automatically removing rust equipment. During the research, after many experiments are carried out, a sample has been made finally. It states both innovations and deficiencies during research, and then puts forth to relative proposals and measures in the last part of this paper. It founds the foundation of theory and practice for further study.
