The Design of high-rise building foundation is a complicated project, covering many uncertain factors. In practice, the design is always needs scheme, design, calculation, modification and redesign, time after timer, which costs a great deal of time and outlays. Based on the Artificial Intelligent and the Decision Support System, the Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS) provides designers to deal with the problem.On the basis of the theory of high-rise building foundation scheme and design, making use of the technology of Expert System (ES), the Artificial Neutral Nets (ANN), and the Decision Support System (DSS), exercising the theory of Object-oriented programming (OOP), the author has produced a Tall Building Foundation Intelligent Decision Support System (TBFIDSS), which can support designers to scheme and design the foundations. It is proved to be practical, reasonable and effective by the test. The main work and conclusions in the paper are as follows:①The author has researched deeply all the effects of high-rise building foundation scheme, and built a foundation scheme knowledge base. The knowledge of the base is mainly classified as the Meta knowledge and domain knowledge. The domain knowledge is divided into foundation scheme knowledge, buried depth calculation knowledge, pile style selection knowledge, slab selection knowledge and so on. Adopting the reasoning-machine CLIPS, the paper produces an intelligent expert system (TBFES), which can make the certainty and uncertainty reason. ②Through the algorithm of ANN, the author has made out the three-layers and four-layers BP nets to intelligently study and reason, supporting decision on the detail reasoning, such as piles' capacity and pile cap's bearing pressure.③The author has built a groundwork and foundation design modal base with the OOP language(C++). The modal base can make much operation such as calculating the internal force, computing the foundation pressure and bearing capacity, checking the foundation sedimentation, and testing the shear resistance on individual foundation, strip foundation, raft foundation, box foundation, pile foundation and so on. Because of the encapsulation and inherit and polymorphic of the adopted computer language, the modal base not only can be used by several programs, but also can became the muti-code modal base by writing the different defined code.④The numerical analysis modal base has been built, which encapsulates some analysis methods such as the linked-poled method, the finite difference method, the finite element method of different kinds foundations.⑤The interface and data stream of the different modules have been realized in TBFIDSS. All the modules are integrated into a complete and easily used Intelligent Decision Support System.
