| Mesh generation is one of important research fields for the FEM analysis and computation. On the basis of vastly reading and referring relevant papers,the first chapter of this paper introduces,analyses and reviews the currently popular mesh generation methods,and previews the research directions in the future. The Second Chapter mainly introduces the basic concept of the pattern module's method,a new mesh generation method,and some ways of constructing pattern modules in the parent square. It is emphatically detailed about how to design and develop a full-quadrilateral finite elements mesh generator (GraphFEM Vl.O ) in the third chapter,including the algorithms taken used of to improve the program function and raise the grid quality. In the end of this chapter some examples are included to illustrate the validity of the program. A new line of research called mesh optimization,which is based on the math optimization theory,is discussed in the forth chapter in the light of the deficiencies of the grid smoothing techniques. What is more,the construction procedure of two optimization models is illustrated in detail. Then some helpful conclusions are drawn based on the analysis of an example. The last chapter comes to some conclusions about the finite element pre-procession techniques and the main research problems of this paper (the pattern module's method and the geometry optimization of the grid quality),points out the existing problems,and refers to the work direction in the future. |
