The Research And Exploiture For Mechanism Of Vehicle Rear-end Collision Avoidance System

In this paper, vehicle rear-end collision avoidance system is discussed and studied, which can remind the driver of adopting right measure by system warning of voice and light. It is a kind of active safety system. On the speedway, When the back vehicle approaches the rear of the forward one, the system will send out collision warning signals to remind the driver of avoiding rear-end collision accident.Main investigations and phase fruit:1. Based on the result of widely investigating and collecting data, we compared measure-distance laser sensor to measure-distance microwave sensor, in order to choose the right measure-distance with low price sensor which could work well in rain, fog and snow days. In the end, we choose BJ-1 measure-distance laser sensor, which was produced by the second electron and instrument factory in Changzhou.2. Mathematics model was established on analyzing the sport appearance of two vehicles and the process of braking. It is optimized. And then logical mathematics model was obtained. Using the software of MATLAB6.0 in order to decease the calculation measures got safety distance datasheets.3. Two CPU configuration was adopted in order to increase the system's real time character during the design of system hardware. The annunciator would give warning signal by using voice and light methods.4. Principium design of software was done to achieve the system's all function. The system was simulated using the software based on VB6.0. And then system's performance was tested. The result was satisfying.Problems will be settled:1. The study of system working dependability during loading the system in vehicle.2. To invalidate and improve the system dynamic capacity.3. The analysis and study of the infection degree to measure-distance laser sensor in bad weather.
