The cable-stayed bridge,a kind of indeterminate flexible structure with many redundant degrees, consists of three basic members: towers, cables and girders. Because of its variant inner force under dead-loading, nonlinear behavior and the correlation between construction method and completed structure, the construction stability analysis and nonlinear analysis that consider those factors become very important in the design of cable-stayed bridge. This paper attempts to have some contribution on it.In this paper, the feasibility of several nonlinear solutions is discussed for the cable-stayed bridge geometric nonlinearity and the relative calculations are operated to get the influence of each nonlinear factor. The analysis methods of the stability of cable-stayed bridge are reviewed. The example bridge is SU-TONG YANGTZE RIVER BRIDGE, which is under construction in Jiangsu province of China. The length of central span is 1088 meters. Those parameters, being used to evaluate stability of this bridge, have been studied. The ultimate capacity under construction of this bridge is investigated...
