Study On The Construction Of Waterfront Surroundings As Urban Landscape In Northwest China--Taking Shannxi,Gansu,Ningxia As Example

Northwest China is the cradle of Chinese civilization. Its ecological environment is getting worse and worse after over 2000 years urbanization, the development of cities is districted by population explosion, shortage of farmland , forest and water sources very much. Especially, scarcity of water source is the key obstruction. Therefore, it is worth of research and study of the necessity of construct the waterfront surroundings landscape for cities and the way of its construction.The paper systemically and specially studies the water source and waterfront surroundings in Northwest area with focus on the cities' construction, aimed at achieving harmonious coexist of human and nature. The purpose of the paper is to study how to achieve sustainable supply of water and improve cities' environment with consideration of existing water resource and waterfront surroundings, based on protection of ecological environment.Moreover, the paper gives some design proposals in order to find a feasible and reasonable method to obtain and utilize the water resource, also puts forward the specific development mode in compliant with local waterfront surroundings landscape so as to improve local living environment of human in Northwest China. Accordingly, the paper can be taken as a reference for future research and construction.The paper is divided into two chapters and highlights four problems as follows:1. Study of possibility of construction of cities' waterfront landscape in Northwest China.2. Study of necessary of construction of cities' waterfront landscape in Northwest China.3. Case study of design sample of constructing of cities' waterfront landscape in Northwest China.4. Analysis of suitable mode of construction of cities' waterfront landscape in Northwest China.
