Adopting the longitudinal seismic braced frame structures of the power factory as a experimental rototype, and based on the pseudo-static model test and the analysis of the static elastic-plastic finite lement method, this paper introduces the seismic behavior of the longitudinal energy-dissipation raced or seismic braced frame structure systems of the power factory. The main contents of the report ; listed as follow. (1) The deformation ability, energy-dissipation ability and corresponding restoring wee constitutive relations of the lead extrusion dampers are analysized. (2) The whole failure process, le seismic failure mechanism, the internal forces properties and the corresponding laws for the istribution and transfer of internal forces of the longitudinal energy-dissipation braced or seismic raced frame structure systems under seismic action are investigated. (3) The weak parts of the mgjtudinal energy-dissipation braced or seismic braced frame structure systems under seismic action re judged. (4) The interacting behavior as well as the pattern for the allocation of the seismic action etween the frame and energy-dissipation braced or seismic braced are uncovered. (5) The properties of le integral deformation and the member' local deformation are approached. (6) The load-carrying apacity, ductility, the hysteretic behavior and the distribution pattern of the energy-dissipate capacity etween the frame and the energy-dissipation or seismic braced of the longitudinal energy-dissipation or sismic braced frame structures are researched. (7) The optimize design of the longitudinal nergy-dissipation or seismic braced frame structures is introduced. (8) The seismic load-carrying apacity and deformation ability of the prototype structure of the large capacity power plants are studied. ?) The seismic design method and the earthquake resistant constructional measure of the longitudinal nergy-dissipation or seismic braced frame structure are put forward. (10) Through the compare of eismic behavior between the reinforced concrete longitudinal energy-dissipation braced frame structure nd the common frame structure, some new theory and methods of seismic design are put forward, lany new conclusion and concept are gained, as well as die corresponding basis of theory andexperiment for revising the code for seismic design of building is given.
