In this paper, the present status of development on the deep foundation pit conserved by frozen wall and coupled problems are analyzed thoroughly. The governing differential equations are obtained based on thermodynamics, while the finite element formulae is achieved by the Galerkin's method. The changed temperature will lead to stress. The stress is considered in constitutive equations, and the coupled equations of temperature and stress fields are obtained. On the basis of NCAP-2D program used for geotechnical mechanics and engineering, the numerical analysis software of the coupled problem of temperature and stress fields in frozen wall is developed. Finally, an example is done by means of this program. Many influencing factors, such as temperature of frozen wall, heat expansion coefficient, span of pit, inserting depth, are analyzed.
