Study On Interface Of Exterior Space In Traditional Village And Town

The traditional public space is the essential part of villages and towns. In fact, people are regarded as its corpus. It's the place for social activity that is promoting social and living affairs taken place. In recent years, some effective developments have been proceeded in China. Most of the study developments in new theory and extend to a broader field. To do research in this field would find out the useful elements and guide the modern design.Two levels that thesis proceeds from the study on interface of the traditional villages and towns. One is single interface and the other is combination of interfaces. Interfaces not only are single elements in the outside space, but also are organism parts of the constitution of space. Great emphasis must be put on the relationships of the elements when studying interface of traditional villages and towns. The conclusion is based on the analysis of traditional villages and towns. Finally, we get important experiences that will guide the modern design of interface by study. Combined with the design practice, the topic is further argued and enriched.
