The Study Of Tourism Town Design Which Based On The Traditional Settlements’ Space Patterns

Our contemporary settlements, from the appearance look that is uniform, stereotyped, but if looking for the causes behind this appearance, that is, changes of social, cultural and environment. Because contemporary rural settlements are developed on the basis of traditional settlements, so that various changes in contemporary society caused huge external shocks to traditional settlements, rural settlements are undergoing a profound change, the structures of original spaces will be changed. This leads to many contemporary rural settlements showing some universal phenomena, just like "new" siege "old", many differences between new and old, and the overall settlement space uncoordinated. This is due to the intervention and influence of various factors, whether it is urban planning or residences, many rural settlements mostly based on the planned grid network, formed settlement patterns, as wide roads, large squares, townhouses and so on, just like a modern "village". Some particular spaces which bearing the traditional culture and customs are also be erased by planning. Rural Settlements in our country have some conflicts with contemporary global culture and advanced technologies, they are easily beaten down, blindly accepting foreign cultures, and seems to have forgotten the origin and advantages.This thesis research begin from the typical traditional settlement of Lijiang-Dayan settlement space, summarizing the spatial characteristics of the traditional settlement and issues which arising in tourism development. Based on some research of the development of Dayan, compared with tourism development pattern of Lijiang Shuhe, Wuzhen, find the issues, causes and solutions of development pattern in traditional tourism town. However, the development of contemporary settlements and tourism town is different from the ancient town, their space not only need to meet modern functions, use modern facilities and equipments, and also need to avoid losing the characters to avoid monotony or huge differences in urbanization-oriented. The thesis aim to solve some issues which exist in contemporary settlements and tourist town development, make sure the traditional space patterns should be used in modern spaces reasonably, and maintain characteristics in the town of old and new combined.
