Salinity exists in oceanic atmosphere at aerosol form. Usually, seacrafts need desalted air, for example, air for combustion and cooling, airiness of communication cabin and electron cabin, etc. Now, lots of large naval ships are equipped with gas turbines both home and abroad. With very large of air intake, gas turbine has more strict desalted requirements, not only for desalting effect but for resistance and size of desalting devices. In this thesis, marine moisture separators used for desalting are simulated numerically and corresponding experimental study are made. Thus,we can offer references for design and manufacture of high-powered marine monisture separators.We must master its resistance and efficiency performance before finalizing the design of Moisture separator. It needs more manpower and material resources as well as longer experimental period to realize characteristic of the different inertial stages and multilayer gauze stages absolutely by model experimentation, so numerical simulation studying method has important meaning. According to present studying status of moisture separator, mostly, in this thesis, undermentioned works had been done:1. The numberical simulating of the flow fields in the inertial stages. Obtained numerical simulation results of flow fields include the resistance and efficiency performance, with the geometrical boundary completely according with the actual one and nothing being simplified.2. The numberical simulating of the flow fields in the multilayer gauze stages . Made an fruitful attempt to simulate numerically the effiency performance. Obtained results include the resistance and efficiency performance;3. The numberical simulating of the flow fields in the twostages and three stages monisture separator .Based on the method of numerical simulation of the inertial stages and the multilayer gauze stages ,and taking into account the structure of the two stages and three stages monisture separator, making appropriate mathematical model Obtained results include the resistance and efficiency performance.4. Using A special experimental wind tunnel, large number of experiments were carried out to study the resistance and efficiency performance of the inertial stages, he multilayer gauze stages, the two stages and three stages monisture separator. The numerical simulation results were verified.
