How to separate fine coal from original coal used in power plant was more studied based on bottom bleed technology of cyclone seperator, and a series of experiments and the simulation of the inertial jalousie-separator have been carried out in this article.A great deal of test works hasve shown that fine coal can be used for reburning and its characteristic is very good. Using fine coal for reburning fuel can provide 40%~60% NOx reduction in practical use and this technology has cost benefits, so coal reburning is a technology that has great potential. And the key problem to realise this technology is how to get fine coal.A series of experiments have been carried out on an inertial jalousie-separator in order to find a simple and high efficiency method to collect fine coal. This project is put forward based on bottom bleed technology of cyclone seperator, a inertial jalousie-separator is installed on bottom bleed duct in order to draw-out adequate fine coal .Experimental results indicate that this project can achieve the aim.But when the velocity of the inlet of the cyclone seperator get greater that near that of the power plant, the mass of the fine coal that take out is not enough, though the particle diameter is satisfing, which can reach the lever that have indicated in some information from abroad. To deal with the problem we have met above, the project has been improved by fixing baffle out side of the inertial jalousie-separator. The results indicate it have well settle the conflict between the total mas and the diameter of the fine coal. And the particle diameter is also satisfing. The development course of the theoretical research and the numericalcalculation model of the cyclone separator are reviewed and summarized in this paper. The inner flow field and the particle motion of the cyclone with an inertial jalousie-separator are simulated, which well indicate the rule to separate the fine coal and provide reference to realise this project for engineering.
