YuanJiang 48P-30 circulating water pump of 200MW units at JunLiangCheng Power Plant, is bad in matchable performance, low in efficiency, large in electricity consumption. It's highest operating efficiency is only 66.7%. Economic dispatching of pump is difficult when pump operates with different loads or at different seasons. So, economic optimizing study for circulating-pump has been done. Firstly, under the precondition of not changing pump case, shaft and conduit, high efficiency impellers are studied and replaced. It is the first time in our country that large and small capacity high efficiency pump are equipped, and the motor of high capacity pump is changed into tow-speed with polarity-change box. Operation mode of two units with three pumps is bringed into effect, and the dispatching curve is developed so as to operate pumps economically. The highest operating efficiency of the large and small pump reaches 87.44% and 87.67% respectively after modification. Electricity consumption of circulating water pump is reduced 4,800,000KWh. The investment can be returned in 9 months.
