Circulating Water Pump is the primary power consumption part in thermal power plant. Its power consumption rate is 30 percent of the whole plant and has had civilizing influence upon the economy of the whole. It is obvious that we should think much of the economic and reliable between actuality and advanced level. In sum, the alteration of circulating water pump is required to improve the economize energy.On a basis of theory and practice, we put forward a plan to solve the problems as we have just mentioned. The job to reduce the power consumption rate has been put into practice by means of optimizing designing, which consist of impeller channel, pump characteristics, operating mode, operation, reliability of components, systematic test, and alteration to electrical engine, and so on.Calculating of the optimizing designing are accomplished by Numeca which is the software about hydrodynamics and energetic. The best pump's and impeller's figure will be obtained by means of CAD→IGG/AUTOGRID→Euranus→CFViewThe Experimentation and study indicated that we have solved those problems well, such as efficiency, power consumption, reliability, extra duty, and so on. A better method of designing and improving in Circulating Water Pump comes true, and it is worthy of being generalized.
