The problems on detection in the electric power systems are introduced in this paper. Single chip needs too much time to calculate and we can't detect power quality real time for example, and the sampling rate must synchronize the signal frequency. When sample multi-channel signal in turn, it must have time delay between two samplings, so the phase angle difference between each channel signal is can't be avoid and so on .Those problems must be solved. Longing to solving some of those problems, we took some new ideas. We reduce the error of FFT algorithm by using the proper floating format chip. In order to ensure the real-time monitor this design choose special DSP chip and high-efficiency A/D transfer chip, the former ensure the time is enough to complete the calculation.Tests proved that this equipment can satisfy the requirement of international standards about harmonic detection. Furthermore the design of hardware can reduce the computation period. It is very benefit to real-time monitor. Zhang Lixia(power electronics and load-flow control) Directed by ass. prof.
