Study On Pro-human Design Of Habitat Space Environment

As our country is pacing toward urbanization into the 21st century, real estate industry has become one of the supporting pillars in the development. Housing condition concerns not only the prosperity of the economy and development of society, but also the improvement of people's living standard and life quality.At present, many problems still exist in Habitat Space Environment (H.S.E for short), mainly manifested as unfitness of special dimensions, unreasonable design of special functions, lack of distinction of buildings and environment. Taking it as a whole, the design of H.S.E lacks thorough thought of people's needs of different levels. Science advance, social development, family structure evolution and division of labor in society all put great impact on people's life and arouse people's new needs for housing. Only by sticking to the principle-- "design for the people, used by the people"-- could our H.S.E meet habitants' needs of every aspect and level.Based on the analysis of existing problems in H.S.E, this essay lays out certain levels of human needs for it. By analyzing habitants' body dimensions, behaviors, psychology, living habits and esthetic standard, etc., the essay illustrates that H.S.E should be designed humanly, create proper spatial dimensions, convenient utilities, comfortable space impressions and show respect to habitant's personalities. Moreover, the essay puts forward that children, aged people, the disabled and other weak societal groups should be especially cared after and given more consideration. From transportation planning, forestation and water body organization, outdoor setting designing to room dimensions, spatial order arrangement, function designing, possibility of transformation and habitant participation, the principle of pro-human should be implemented through out all the procedures.Living has now risen from the narrow sense of "house" to Science of Human Settlement. We ought to persist on sustainable development for harmonious improvement of society, economy and environment. In constructing H.S.E, ecological pro-human should be the basic principle for a human and ecological settlement being rich of local cultural feature.
