Aimed at recycling source of low temperature waste heat, utilizing renewable energy source and decontaminating atmospheric environment to keep sustainable development of human society, the low temperature waste heat power generation was researched in this paper.Based on sufficient investigation of relative field at home and abroad, combined with actual state of engineering, aimed at the characteristics of low temperature waste heat power generation, under adequate consideration of economical efficiency, the thermodynamic system models on the base of Rankine-cycle, which mainly consisted of evaporator, EHD condenser and steam turbine-generator group with R11 as working fluid, were constructed after comparing the current low temperature waste heat power generation systems. The working parameters (specific enthalpy, entropy, flux of working fluid, Reynolds number, etc.), the configuration parameters of the main components, such as steam turbine-generator group, evaporator and EHD condenser and system efficiency were calculated on the base of thermodynamics theory. At the same time, the mathematical models of the electric field and the flow field distribution were established from the theory of electrostatic enhancement of heat transfer. Employed finite differential method and over-relaxation iteration method, according to certain boundary conditions in the wire-plate electrode space, the electric field and the flow field in the wire-plate space were numerically simulated under different initial velocities of R11 stream and different magnitudes of applied voltage. The calculation results agreed with theoretical analysis satisfactorily. The experimental models not only can be introduced into low temperature waste-heat power generation, but also can be available in the geothermal, solar and ocean thermal gradient power generation. The theory of EHD enhancement of heat transfer mentioned in this paper not only adds a new technical proposal to active heat transfer enhancement technology, but also plays promote role for crossing development of electromagnetic theory and thermodynamic theory.
