| The thesis is devided into four sections.In the first section, we expound the operation and significance of traditional wood-house-settlement recoustruction in Rongshui. Of course, this is based on my practices in Zhengduo-Zhai. And the recoustruction of house-settlement in Rongshui is a complex system. Its succeed is not only the improving of housing condition and living environment, but also the great change of concept.In the second, we expound the purpose, the rural survey and the design course of Tiantou-Tui. The major point is that we should develop the pith of Chinese traditional house-settlement "systematic thinking-mode and comprehensive valence-thoughts" in design. The design and plan in Tiantou is not a simple repealling of Ihe work in Zhengduo. Us purpose is betler and overall.The third section is the survey and the analysis about the protection and reconstraction of Huizhou house-settlements. In this section, we expound that Huizhou house-settlement is not an eternal pattern. In fact, it was a result of historical evolution in the past years, and great change is brewing in it today. The dual-attributes of Chinese traditional house-settlement draw the major conclusion that the overwhelming majority will be reconstructed and the minority will be protected. Reconstruction is ineritable; and protection must be strict and historical.The forth section is some theoris about three sections ahead. In this section.we expound that Chinese traditional house-settlement and its reconstruction are both complex systems. We should study the reconstruction's structural and competent significance in the developing rural economy and in the building of super-ecolagical agriculture. And we should start this studying from the high strategic view of whole national economical and social development. We discuss the gradual change and sudden change of Chinese traditional house-settlement, and the reconstruction is just the right encouraging and correct leading of its sudden change.
