In long distance slurry pipeline transport project,it often need to calculate Friction Loss of Settling Slurry in Inclined Pipeline, but up to now ,the research about this aspect is not much.On the basis of research results of the existing experts and scholars especially the theory put forward by professor Xu zhenliang(my tutor) that predicts the velocity profiles and friction loss of settling slurry when it flows in horizontal pipe and upward-inclined-pipe,relations among the velocity of water ,that of solid particles and that of settling slurry have been established by the analysis of momentum transmission process between water and solid. Then the calculation formulae for fricton loss of downward inclined and vertical pipe are deprived. At last related data have been used to verify the the deprived formulaeAnd it turn out that calculating results accord with actual results,so the formulae can serve as helpful reference for operating and designingin this field.
