Concept Design Model For Customization Of Product's Shape

Customization is one requirement for the enterprise's development. It makescustomers be attached themselves to concept design, and shortens the time ofdevelopment cycle of the product, which has much important significance for theenterprise. Combining with geometry and image process and interactive technology undernetwork, a concept design prototype of customization for car's shape was designed anddeveloped. These items are studied in this paper: First, based on panoramic depth image, the car's shape model of LOD isapproached. After characteristic points have been selected, original mesh is made oftriangulation. By using equable mesh refinement techniques and effectively handlingthe holes in the gray-image, the car's shape can be exactly reflected。 Second, Shape design with VRML and deforming methods of 3D-model based onimage is discussed。By using warp techniques based on profile of the model, we caneasily remesh so as to implement the shape customization。 Finally, entire customization system is discussed and communication mechanismbetween Java Applet and Servlet and some related technology of Jdbc database areanalyzed。Interactive methods in the customization system are introduced to modifyappearance and parameter of person-machine effects of the product。...
