Research On Fuzzy Cluster Analysis For Quality Control Of RMC Production

Traditional researches on concrete are mostly based on phenomenology. However, we have been in need of a real law of materials since the computer and software applied to the analysis of construction. Prof. F. H. Wittmann, who is well-known in concrete science, points out that theoretical analysis and experiment are two aspects of traditional research on materials and today it is very necessary to add the numerial analysis and imitation to the research process as the third aspect. Therefore, we can explain the real and complex laws of materials by new concept if these three aspects are effectively combined.According to the viewpoint of Prof. F. H. Wittmann and the development trend of concrete science, the author has successfully combined the theory of fuzzy cluster analysis with the quality control work of RMC production by mathematical modeling, hi actual work, there are some differences of concrete mix proportion and concrete performance index between the standard sample that is accord with all demands of HPC and differential sample that is mainly accord with demands of mix design by comparing and clustering. Therefore, RMC is up to the standard of HPC after adjusting these differences.In order to link the method of mathematics with the knowledge of concretescience, we have investigated many professionals all-over the nation who are majorin concrete research in the field of construction, water conservancy and railwayengineering by enquiring papers. On the basis of this investigation, we have obtainedthe cluster index set of mathematical models by Delphi which is a famousmathematical method of statistics. It is very efficient in dealing with the data by the fuzzy cluster analysis program which is compiled with FORTRAN77. The author concludes that the theory of fuzzy cluster analysis can be applied to the quality control work of concrete production with the program analyzing the experiment data and the method of fuzzy cluster analysis contributes to the quality control work of RMC production.
