Cities become the most important human settlements nowadays. A series of city problem caused by global civilization process have come into being after Industrial Revolution. It has already become common ground to study human settlements environment from the whole and opening point of view. This thesis studies the ecotype green spaces in big cities that occupy the important position in human settlements environment, and analysis a particular case of Tianjin outer ring road afforestation in detail. In the end, it tries to find out a sustainable way to form landscape and operate the ecotype green spaces in big cities.The first chapter of this thesis starts out from the course and progress of ecotype green space, analyzing its function, constructing central study system, pointing out the approach of landscape formation?and market operation for sustainable human settlements environment. Following chapters study the Tianjin outer ring road afforestation case in detail: The second chapter analysis the background of the case and puts forward its study way. The third chapter expounds the theory basic and design measure from three aspects: nature ecosystem and earth landscape, city function and characteristic landscape, open space and place landscape. It covers the principle of landscape formation. The forth chapter expounds the business model starting with the market economy circulating mechanism. It covers the way of market operation. Finally, the fifth chapter concludes ecotype green spaces in big cities and forecasts their prospect. It is supposed that the above research can give a light to the sustainable development of settlements environment, especially to the preservation and construction of ecotype green space in big cities.
