Embeded Data Storage System Of Voyage Data Recorder

This article introduce the software and hardware configuration of the embedded network data storage system based on ColdFire 5307 uClinux and nandflash,in the ground of VDR(voyage data recorder).As the development of electronic and semiconduct technique,the FLASH as the solid storage has become the dominating Solution for storage of mass data.The Nand Flash has more advantage in high desenity quicker erasing and writing,compared with other FLASH.In system software field, the application of operation system make the application software more easy more agile.If system source is enough,the combining of microcontroller with high speed low power consumption and embeded operation system with strong function but less code will be the main solution of most complicated system.In our system,we adopt Motorola 32bits controller ColdFire 5307 uClinux operation system 128M x 8 Bit NAND Flash and 10M Ethernet card to make a embeded network data storage system.It can receive the net data with user defined transport protocol and store it to a high-capacity storage device.This article discusses the system hardware composition and software Architecture.The hardware composition part includes the framework of the ColdFire 5307 center module, details of the SDRAM Boot Flash ROM JFFS Flash ROM 10M Ethernet interface and Nand Flash data store device part,etc. The software part consists of drivers and operating systems. We put emphasis on the NAND Flash interface driver on ColdFire 5307 platform. We also introduce the planting of uClinux operation system and application code development on it.In the end ,we discuss the protocol of net data transporting the Implementation detail and realization skills of managing configuration error checking, backup of the storage system.
