From the basic principle of the double-fed machine the paper analyses the character of the speed system. By the vector control and the coordinate transformation,We present the mathematical model on the synchronous coordinate. Using the S function of MATLAB the paper presents the simulation model of the double-fed machine and analyses the startup character of the double-fed machine. After the detail account of the performance of the variable speed system,we know that if the machine carries out completely speed control,it must use the vector decoupling of the MT voltage. The paper gives the vector control speed system of the double-fed machine on the rotor current orientation. Keep the rotor current and the stator flux verticality on the stator current orientation,the paper realizes the rotor current orientation. The speed system has two channels,makes the machine decouple,realizes the independent control of the excitation current and the torque current and gives the excellent performance. The test shows that the vector control speed system has low inverter power,high power factor,perfect dynamic performance,wide speed range. It suits the variable speed system of fan machine and pump and has good prospect on industry application.
