The navigation platform bearing is the key part of the navigation frame system, and its performance, quality and reliability will directly affect the performance and the precision of navigation platform frame system. This paper discusses the design technology of the navigation platform frame bearing, sets up the corresponding optimization mathematical model and adopts algorithm of the multi-target optimization to optimize structural parameters of the navigation platform bearing. Since the preload and the friction moment of the geminate bearing are dominating factors affecting the performance of the navigation platform frame system, based on theoretical study on the control methods of bearing's preloads and frictional moment, the paper puts forward a method to control the preload of the twin bearings accurately. Moreover, a multifunctional test apparatus of the navigation platform bearing is designed, and a lot of experiments of bearing's rigidity and friction moment and preload assessment are done. Verified by test, the design technology of navigation platform bearing given in this paper is completely available, and the bearing manufactured by the technology given in the paper is sufficient to meet the requirements of the main engine.
