Compare with the traditional oil lubricated bearing, water lubricated rubber alloybearing has good lubricating property and environment-friendly property for the use ofwater as a lubricant and the special properties of rubber, and it is widely used shipindustry. But, the friction-induced noise can not be avoided under the bad conditions oflow-speed and heavy load, and this kind of noise is the major source of ship noise, which seriously affects the performance of the ship. Therefore, the study of waterlubricated rubber bearing frictional-reduced noise has great realistic significance to thedevelopment of shipping industry of China.Firstly, through analysis research status of the issues and related articles offrictional-induced noise, this paper discussed the water lubrication mechanism, theboundary lubrication state and the Basic characteristics of rubber of water lubricatedrubber bearing. And then a new model of Stick-Relaxation was presented to explainthe reason of causing frictional-induced noise.Secondly, the author created the geometric model of plat water lubricated rubberbearings system, by using the complex mode theory and ABAQUS software, andanalyzed the noise of bearing system. By changing the structure and the factors such asfriction coefficient, the effect of these factors to the dynamic stability of the waterlubricated rubber bearings system were studied. Finally, the experiment research of two type water lubricated rubber bearings wascarried out under the existing conditions of laboratory, the results showed that the flatwater lubricated rubber bearings is superior than arc water lubricated rubber bearings.
