This study aims at theoretical research and engineering development for on-line monitoring and diagnosis of thermal economical performance of large-scale coal-fired power unit. The main fruits includes:(1) puts forward the general equivalent model for thermal system and its generalized parameter equation, which provides a new theoretic tool for thermal system analysis; (2) puts forward the control mechanism of fault diagnosis based on integration of multiplex knowledge for recovery system; (3) puts forward the control mechanism of fault diagnosis based on fault tree for low vacuum state of condenser; (4) develops fault diagnosis system for low vacuum state of condenser with the theory of expert system, the theory of fault tree, and the knowledge of specialty domain; (5) uses OO technology to optimize the on-line monitoring system for thermal economical performance, which improves such performances of software system, such as generalization, stability, and adaptability ; (6) develops the on-line monitoring and examination system based on Delphi +Excel for functional indexes, with technology of OLE.
