This study Aims at the traits of 200MW units of Matou power plant. The method of multivariate linear regression analysis is used to deduce the relevant matrix between element analysis and industry analysis of coal. Then a new calculation method of boiler efficiency, which is based on industry analysis results, is established. On the other hand, through characteristics of boiler and steam turbine being analyzed, the general equation group for thermal index calculation and the relationship equation between consumption and auxiliary steam-water flux, which are both applicable to our plant, are obtained. As a result, calculation models for thermal system are simplified. Based on these researches, the on-line monitoring system is developed for thermal economical performance of 200MW unit. Application indicates that this software system is helpful for local personnel to monitor functional indexes,analyze energy-loss distribution and then improve thermal economical performance of unit.
