Analysis And Design Research On Curved Girder Bridge

Curved girder continuous bridges have a pretty shape, which not only accord with aesthetics value but also good for high-speed drive. Especially the single support used in curved bridge can minimize the probability of the conflict between the pier base and the underground building. Also it can increase the utility of span's clearance and wide the horizon. So they have been widely used in highway bridges and motorway interchanges.The flexure-torsion coupling problem can't be analyzed with plan model. So based on the plan frame finite analysis program developed by Pro.Caliang Huang of DUT, the author designed a space frame finite analysis program and some relative program which is used to analyze longitudinal influence lines of internal forces. Also the live loads program is developed. Based on this program, the curved bridge may be analyzed conveniently.Based on the grillage simulation, the curved girder is analyzed in this paper. Through the comparison between the same height web plate and the different height web plate, the applied domain of each kind of cross section is given.This paper did a lot calculation on curved girder bridge according to the circular curve, span of bridge, and span number. Some charts and conclusions, which are convenient to design, are drawn as follows. Under dead loads, there isn't much difference between the maximum internal force of curved girder bridge and the straight girder bridge. But under live loads, the maximum internal force is changed with the length of curved girder bridge and the span. At last the applied domain of the curved bridge, which may be analyzed with plan model, is given.In addition, this paper analyses the possibility that the curved girder bridge might adopt all single support structure system.The analysis and exploring structure system of curved girder bridges presented in this paper could use as a reference in design.
